Malmö International

This week we will learn more about our members Janine Miller and Virginie Macavoy, who will each present an "ego speech" about themselves. The Rotary Club Ego Speech is a rite of passage for new members, giving them the opportunity to share their family history, personal milestones and special interests with their fellow Rotarians. We're looking forward to getting to know Janine and Virginie in a whole new way!

Janine Miller was born in South Africa, almost exactly 9 years before Nelson Mandela was released from prison and given his first South African passport. In her early 20's, Janine moved to London where she qualified as a psychotherapist, married and had two children. Janine will share more about the events that shaped her (and continue to shape her), including moving to Sweden in 2017.

As a qualified French cultural guide at Sorbonne University, Virginie Mcavoy has always enjoyed working in theatres and museums in France, Italy and Scotland. In spring 2018, after six years in Italy, she decided to move to Malmö with her family, but adapting to a new life in Sweden proved to be a challenge. These days she has found a balance and feels ready to fully enjoy the years coming in the Greater Copenhagen region.
